Virginia Catholic Conference

I just spoke with Jeff Caruso at The Virginia Catholic Conference. It was so encouraging to me to have a reasonable conversation with a reasonable man who shares my passion for protecting the lives of the unborn. Of course, details will need to be hammered out, but I am excited about the prospect of working together with this organization to achieve our mutual goals.

  1. It's great that you are communicating with VCC. So important that we be unified in our efforts to change the culture and be a voice for the unborn. Jeff is a good listener and I hope that will lead to future VCC support for such legislation. Unfortunately Delgates Albo and Kilgore who voted against HB112 afterwards both cited the fact that VCC did not support the legislation. You can't be neutral--if you don't voice support then . . . one can only conclude you don't support the bill! Perhaps in the future if the language in the tested Missouri law is used all pro-life forces will come together to give unborn persons another incremental victory. Your Q&A spot is a great resource--sure hope our legislators and VCC and citizens make use of it.

  2. Thanks, Kathy! You're so right--if the pro-life movement wants to have real impact, it is essential for us to be working together. I am very hopeful that this will happen and am already working on it...
